VOS Welcomes Kim Battle as the
New Membership Manager

Kim Battle is the new membership manager for VOS.  She joins the organization after more than ten years at VISIT Milwaukee (Convention & Visitors Bureau), five as Director of Membership. In her previous role, she was responsible for member recruitment, retention and relationship building, as well as event planning, fundraising and database management.  She also has experience in developing websites and producing publications.  Kim graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1997 with a BA in Mass Communication.

  1. 10% discount on membership dues for all eligible physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in the practice/institution.
  2. One comprehensive renewal notice to include all Society members in your practice or institution as one “group” (less paperwork for your practice).
  3. Membership transfer: If a physician leaves the practice and moves out of state, the VOS membership will be transferable
    to any new replacement physician.

Discounted Dues for Military

The VOS Board of Directors recently approved a discount for our members currently active in the military. To be eligible for this discount, a member must be an individual who is in the US Armed Forces and engaged in the practice of orthopaedic surgery within any of the military medical installations in Virginia. The 2008 rate of $187.50 applies to new and current members.

for VOS Membership

The Virginia Orthopaedic Society is pleased to offer the newest membership category especially for Nurse Practitioners and Physician's Assistants. The applicant must be sponsored by a current VOS member. Nurse Practitioners dues are 50% of active physician member dues, or $125. This 50% discount is also extended to registration for the upcoming 62nd Annual Meeting, May 1-3, 2009 at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
